Intercontinental Academic Exchange: Dr. Grzegorz Rubin in Yokohama

Hanami, the time of cherry blossoms, is one of the most important festivals celebrated in Japan. This exceptional event, known worldwide, symbolizes the beauty and transience of nature, which is why this island nation is often referred to as the "land of the cherry blossoms." Dr. Eng. Grzegorz Rubin from the Faculty of Information Technology and Science at the University of Lomza traveled over 8500 km to visit Kanagawa University in Yokohama.

Building International Connections: University of Lomza at Ala-Too University

From July 1-5, 2024, as part of the Erasmus+ Programme, staff members from University of Lomza — Jacek Bochenko from the Promotion Section, Zbigniew Dziekoński from the International Relations Department, and Arkadiusz Nieciecki representing the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology — undertook an STT mobility to Ala-Too International University in Kyrgyzstan. During the first part of their visit at the university headquarters, they met with university authorities including Rector Zhyldyzbek Zhakshylykov, Vice-Rector Seitbek Tilekov, International Relations Office Director Edil Konogaliev, as well as deans of various faculties.

Spanish Language Week: Representatives of the University of Lomza at a Course in Valencia

From July 1-5, Anna Dobrowolska from the Career Office and Irena Kultijasowa from the Academic Center for Foreign Languages participated in the Spanish Language International Week at Universidad Católica de Valencia San Vicente Mártir in Valencia, as part of the Erasmus+ program.

International Relations at the University of Lomza: Visit of the Rector from Klaipėda

From July 8-10, Dr. Remigijus Kinderis, the Rector of Klaipėda State College, visited University of Lomza, continuing important discussions regarding the potential development of cooperation between our institutions.

International Staff Week at the University of Lomza

On 10 June, the University of Lomza hosted the third edition of the International Staff Week, a recurring event aimed at strengthening existing and fostering new international relationships.

The International Staff Week was attended by representatives of foreign universities from Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium, Georgia, Ukraine and Turkey. During their week-long stay at the University of Lomza, they familiarised themselves with the specificities of our institution, the study programmes offered, the study conditions, the research areas and the academic facilities. The programme also included cultural trips to the region and participation in a gala and conference to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our university.
