In a warm and festive atmosphere, the academic community of the University of Lomza came together for its annual Christmas gathering. The event offered a meaningful pause in the intensity of the end-of-semester period and created space for conversation, shared reflection, and strengthening bonds between students, academic staff, and university employees.
A highlight of the evening was a Christmas performance prepared by University students. Their original nativity play offered a fresh and thoughtful interpretation of Christmas traditions, skillfully combining classical motifs with elements of everyday academic life. Viewed through the perspective of young people, the performance balanced humour and distance with moments of genuine reflection, making it both engaging and emotionally resonant.
The stage presentation moved seamlessly between light-hearted scenes that drew smiles from the audience and more contemplative moments inviting reflection on the meaning of Christmas, interpersonal relationships, and the value of community. Through their performance, the students demonstrated not only creativity and artistic sensitivity, but also a strong sense of responsibility for shaping the cultural life of the University.
The evening concluded with shared carol singing, the traditional sharing of Christmas wafers, and the exchange of heartfelt wishes. Together, these moments created an atmosphere of closeness and authenticity, leaving participants with a lasting sense of unity and the true spirit of the holiday season.
The Christmas gathering once again confirmed that the University of Lomza is not only a place of academic development, but also a vibrant community built on mutual respect, openness, and shared values.
