The University of Lomza once again celebrates a significant academic achievement by one of its graduates. Mateusz Bloch, a graduate of the second-cycle (Master’s) Computer Science programme at the Faculty of Informatics and Technology of the University of Lomza, was awarded first place in the 7th edition of the national competition for the best master’s thesis organised by the Industrial Development Agency S.A. (ARP).
The official award ceremony took place on 15 December 2025 at the PKO Rotunda in Warsaw during the final gala of the “Talents for Industry” competition, held under the patronage of the President of ARP S.A. The event brought together representatives of academia, business, and the industrial sector, as well as authors of outstanding theses addressing innovation, energy transformation, and advanced technologies. Awards were presented by Bartłomiej Babuśka, President of the Management Board of ARP S.A.
The award-winning thesis, entitled “Porting and Optimisation of an Artificial Intelligence Library on the Phoenix-RTOS Platform with Performance and Determinism Evaluation for IoT Applications”, was prepared under the supervision of Piotr Tronczzyk. The work represents advanced research in the fields of embedded systems, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, demonstrating both high technical competence and strong application potential.
This achievement marks the fifth award received by graduates of the Faculty of Informatics and Technology of the University of Lomza in competitions organised by ARP, further confirming the high quality of education and growing national recognition of the University’s Computer Science programmes.
