On 8 December 2025, the University of Lomza hosted the Skills Festival, an open and dynamic event dedicated to education, modern technologies, and the professions of the future. The University campus transformed into a vibrant space of learning and exploration, welcoming participants of all ages—from young children and secondary-school pupils to students and senior learners.
Throughout the day, hundreds of visitors engaged with exhibitors from Lomza and the surrounding region, who presented innovative solutions, interactive demonstrations, and practical applications of their work. The continuous presence of visitors at the exhibition stands created an atmosphere of curiosity, dialogue, and creative discovery, complementing the programme of lectures and presentations taking place across the campus.
A key moment of the Festival was the presentation “Discover Your Future at the University of Lomza”, delivered by PhD Marta Żebrowska-Gamdzyk, who introduced participants to the University’s broad educational offer and career pathways. The programme also included expert talks on topics such as the use of artificial intelligence in work and education, the role of lighting in professional environments, and emerging technologies shaping contemporary learning.
Particular interest was drawn by virtual reality demonstrations, highlighting solutions that may soon become an integral part of education and professional practice. The event was further enriched by a practical showcase prepared by officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Lomza, as well as a session titled “Doing Business in Lomza”, during which organisers presented case studies of successful local initiatives.
The Festival also featured interactive quizzes with prizes, encouraging active participation and adding an element of friendly competition and enjoyment. Once again, the Skills Festival at the University of Lomza demonstrated that learning, innovation, and personal development can be both accessible and engaging—regardless of age.
By opening its doors to the wider community and combining academic knowledge with real-world practice, the University of Lomza reinforces its role as a hub for lifelong learning, innovation, and conscious career planning.
