Between June 10–12, 2025, the University of Lomza had the pleasure of hosting two representatives from Klaipėda State University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania): Ms. Ina Varpiotė and Ms. Juratė Danielė, representing the International Relations Department. The visit resulted in an invitation for students of the University of Lomza to participate in two Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) scheduled for the 2025/2026 academic year.

One of the highlights of the visit was a tour of the modern laboratories and teaching facilities at the Faculty of Computer and Technology Sciences. The guests were guided around the campus by MSc Eng. Arkadiusz Nieciecki from the Department of Automation and Robotics and PhD Eng. Milena Stachelska. Among the showcased facilities were:

  • The Mechatronics Lab, where students develop skills in designing, building, and operating mobile robots and other robotics systems;
  • The Additive and Thermal Printing Lab, which enables the creation of advertising print prototypes and 3D models for student projects;
  • Labs for Computer Graphics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Industrial Automation, supporting the development of interdisciplinary technological competencies;
  • The Physics Laboratory, where students conduct classic scientific experiments, such as wave interference, the Doppler effect, and the Franck-Hertz experiment.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices in teaching and internationalisation. The Lithuanian guests praised the high level of infrastructure at the University of Lomza and its practical approach to education.

During the meetings, possibilities for future cooperation under the Erasmus+ Programme and the launch of joint educational projects were discussed. The planned Blended Intensive Programmes will offer students a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in an international environment by combining on-site learning with an online component. These programmes reflect a modern approach to education, based on the integration of technology and intercultural exchange.
