From November 12 to 14, 2024, the University of Łomża hosted Jesmond Friggieri from the Malta Leadership Institute. The visit provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange, establishing international relations, and strengthening academic cooperation. Jesmond Friggieri met with the university authorities, including the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Dr. hab. Sylwia Chojnowska, Prof. of UL, the Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Izabela Sekścińska, as well as the Dean, Dr. Natalia Malenko, and Vice-Dean, Dr. Magdalena Forfa, from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. The discussions focused on presenting the university, sharing experiences, and exploring potential areas of future collaboration.
As part of his visit, Jesmond Friggieri also delivered a lecture titled "Reflective Practice and Self-Development," which attracted students from fields such as English Philology, Pedagogy, Management, Administration, and Logistics. Following the lecture, the guest, accompanied by Jesse Funtleyder, this year’s Fulbright Scholar, had the opportunity to visit the picturesque Adam Chętnik Kurpie Open-Air Museum in Nowogród and the city of Łomża. On the final day of his visit, Jesmond Friggieri also met with staff members from the Department of Economics and Finance.
