We are immensely proud of our students' participation in the week-long mobility program that took place from April 15th to 19th, 2024, at Alytaus kolegija as part of the Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP). The initiative was titled 'Overcoming Cultural Issues in Patient Care: Transcultural Nursing Approach'.

It is worth emphasizing that participation in this exchange was an excellent opportunity for our students to broaden their academic and cultural horizons. Our delegation consisted of 5 Nursing students: Dawid Szyłak, Julia Łuba, Anita Dziekońska, Kinga Jastrzębska, and Tetiana Volchenko. They were accompanied by Dr. Bożena Kopcych. Transcultural nursing is an innovative approach to patient care that takes into account the patient's cultural background. Knowledge in this area provides medical personnel with practical guidance on how to interact with individuals from various religious or ethnic groups. This is an extremely important skill in the context of migration movements.

During the exchange, our students had the opportunity to participate in various activities and interact with participants from other partner institutions. This shared exchange of knowledge and experiences regarding nursing care in the context of cultural diversity contributed to enriching our academic community and developing new competencies among our students.
