Researchers and staff members of international relations offices from international universities all over the world (including Japan, Turkey, Albania, Georgia, and Kyrgyzstan) took part in a well-rounded week full of events at the University of Lomza, sharing their knowledge in the field of internationalization of didactics, science, and the global society.
We concluded the 2nd International Staff Week
The University of Lomza hosted academics and staff members focused on international cooperation, a total of sixteen participants. Among them, we could find following leaders and experts: Professor Nurullah Ulutaş (Bitlis Eren University, Turkey), Professor Bahriye Karaca (Maltepe University, Turkey), Professor Norihito Tanaka (Kanagawa University, Japan), Professor Devi Shonia (Sokhumi State University, Georgia). During the inauguration of the event, the foreign guests learned about the specifics of the our University, as well as each of the three faculties, and 16 departments. They visited the University's Medical Simulation Center, learning about the procedures our students are taught from the beginning of their academic journey.
In the rich program of the 2nd International Staff Week, scientists from foreign universities conducted lectures on the following topics: linear algebra, differential equations, the development of global companies, Turkish language and culture. Professor Norihito Tanaka of Kanagawa University (Japan) prepared a lecture titled: "International Business, Japanese Global Companies - case study," on the reasons for the success of Japanese multinational companies, especially in the high-tech industry.
International Staff Week is all about exchanging information on best practices of international cooperation within the framework of the Erasmus Program in the new 2021-2027 perspective. The program of the International Staff Week also included lectures, seminars, and workshops prepared by our University academic teachers and students. Our guests attended a number of events and learning about the natural environment, traditions and customs of the Lomza Region, which has been an important focus of our activities. Included in this programme were recreational and cultural events promoting the qualities of domestic culture and nature, such as the Polish Cuisine Workshops, a gondola cruise on the Narew River, and a visit to the North Mazovian Museum in Lomza.
