BIP - SUSTAINABLE BIOTECHNOLOGY ENTREEPRENEURSHIP: MICROAGAE & HUMAN FOOD

Four of our Management students actively participate in the international interdisciplinary BIP – Blended Intensive Program titled: SUSTAINABLE BIOTECHNOLOGY ENTREEPRENEURSHIP: MICROAGAE & HUMAN FOOD. Alongside Lomza State University of Applied Sciences, there are nine more universities from all over the world taking part in this project: Georgian College (Canada), Jan Dlugosz University in Czastochowa (Poland), Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy), Université Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne (France), University of Economics-Varna (Bulgaria), University of Parma (Italy), Università degli Studi Milano-Bicocca (Italy), Universidad de Almería (Spain), Universität Hohenheiem (Germany).

The main research problem is the usage of microalgae in the unequal fight against hunger in the world, but also achieving food security and propose ideas to establish better eating habits with the goal of proper nutrition in mind, and promotion of sustainable agriculture. The project coordinator is our Spanish partner, University of Almeria. PhD Magdalena Forfa and MA Katarzyna Zacharzewska-Arnista are project coordinators on behalf of our University.

In the meantime, we are excited to start this upcoming mobility season and we would like to invite all students to take part in international studies and traineeships offered within the Erasmus+ Programme. It is a great chance to develop many skills and abilities in the multinational environment and to broaden your horizons.
