Last Academic Year, together with The Association of Polish Architects (SARP), Lomza State University of Applied Sciences has announced and concluded a competition for the expansion of our newly acquired building of 20 Akademicka Street.
Since the buildings of 1 Akademicka Street (Faculty of Computer Science and Technology) form a coherent, modern architectural complex, noticeably different from the architecture of Łomża. In order to standardize the style of all buildings and improve the conditions of study and work at the university, we decided to expand the headquarters and connect it with the building at 20 Akademicka Street, which we received from the board of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, for which I would like to thank you and I will thank you more than once - said The Rector, Prof. Dariusz Surowik.
The contest was concluded in October 2021, commencing the beginning of the Academic Year 2021/2022.
Each of the projects was an interesting idea for modern functional solutions. However, the winning project, by architect Bogusław Kidziak, heralded a building that would fit in with a 21st century University - a standard long acquired by Lomza State University of Applied Sciences.
