Fields of study
Physical Education is a subject which provides knowledge and develops students sporting passions that after graduating from our university can be used in their private life. A graduate of Physical Education has knowledge of psychology, pedagogy and biology, which allows to understand developmental processes, socialization, education, teaching and methodical (knowledge - based on experience in its practical approach) and practical skills and competencies necessary to work with children, youth, adults and seniors. It is prepared to carry out professional tasks (teaching, education and care) resulting from the role of the teacher in physical activity, health promotion as well as an independent planning, implementation and evaluation of physical activity, serving health, relaxation and beauty

Type of studies: 3 years (6 semesters) bachelor study programme

The subject of study
- movement classes of selected sports, team sports (basketball , soccer, volleyball and handball); individual sports, athletics, table tennis , gymnastics, taekwondo, swimming, dancing; the other chosen by the student , for example downhill skiing, crossfit, nordic walking
- Students while studying participate in two sports camps: summer ( summer sports eg . sailing ) and winter ( winter sports for example . downhill skiing) and hiking in the mountains
- theoretical lectures from history of physical culture ,
- theory of physical education and sport, psychology , bio - chemistry, biomechanics , anatomy , pedagogy , physiology, anthropomotorics , biology , health education , voice emission, organization and the education law, first aid , foreign language and others.

- sport at the stage of basic training .
- Students choose a specialization in the second year of studies. After completing specialization , students receive certificate of instructor with the chosen sport.

General information
The Institute of Physical Education was established in September 2006 with obtaining the permission by LSUAS (Lomza State University of Applied Sciences) to pursue a degree in Physical Education from the academic year 2006/2007.
The training takes place in the following course combinations:

Physical Education is a three-year-interdisciplinary subject delivered in a way that ensures our graduates leave the institution with the bachelor’s degree with the skills to enable them to find employment. The philosophy of the curriculum is to deliver knowledge in the field of social sciences , natural sciences and culture.
