Originally from Peoria, Illinois, Andrea graduated in May 2019 from Grinnell College with a bachelor's in English and Biology. She is the current Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at Lomza State University of Applied Sciences. She applied for a Fulbright in Poland because she wanted to teach at the university level, and she has many Polish friends back home in the states. The commission placed her in Lomza, and she really loves it so far because it reminds her of the small town she grew up and went to college in-everyone is very friendly and there is so much history here. In her free time, Andrea enjoys reading/writing poetry, being in nature, practising her polish, and watching horror movies.
